On the 18th of January, the ZEFES project had its kick-off meeting hosted by the coordinator at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium. During this day, all 40 project partners were physically present to meet each other and discuss the project’s aims and objectives. All 10 Work Package Leaders got to present their Work Package, explain the work that they and their partners will focus on in the coming 6 months, and identifying any possible challenges. Next to the technical work discussed, the partners were also asked to vote on their preferred project logo, which resulted in a clear winner. The first day was closed by a very nice networking dinner in the city centre of Brussels.
The second day, external stakeholders were also invited to join the ZEFES consortium in Brussels. There were three stakeholder workshops organised with the following themes:
- Energy Infrastructure
- Transport Logistics
- Permits and Legislation
In the workshops, the consortium partners and external stakeholders identified bottle necks in the project and possible solutions/mitigation actions. From the workshops it has become apparent that the ZEFES project will have to work closely together with external stakeholders, to make sure that the targets can be reached.
All in all, it was a very successful two days in at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and we want to thank everyone for participating in the kick-off meeting and the stakeholder workshops!
