GRUBER Logistics is a transport and logistics company founded back in 1936 which provides services along the entire value chain though its  60 branches in 14 European countries and rely to over 2200 transport units. The company is particularly specialized on Full truckloads services it runs with own fleet ranging from 7,5 ton truck to megatrailes providing special transport solutions all over Europe thanks to a strong local expertise and knowledge of over 20 languages. Another strategic service with specific tailor-made solutions  is represented by oversize and overweight cargo where the company has recently take over the position of the European market leader in the field of heavy and specialized transport thanks to the acquisition of a long-standing successful company based on Germany, Universal Transport. In 2022, Gruber announced its plan to expand the fleet with fifty e-truck with a total weight of 44t and to build its own charging infrastructure across Europe.

Why ZEFES?

Gruber Logistics consider ZEFES a key opportunity to test ZEV vehicles in real world demonstrations in order to get to know the general conditions and frameworks for later use in coherence with the company  commitment for a more sustainable supply chain, starting from the introduction from 2023  of fifty e-truck in the company fleet . Indeed, innovation and environmental sustainability drive the Company Strategy  towards its engagement in various collaborative working groups with the European Commission such as the Digital Transport & Logistics Forum and 2ZERO (Towards zero emission road transport) aiming at accelerating the transition towards zero tailpipe emission road mobility across Europe and where GRUBER Logistics held the position of Vice-chair, from the Logistics companies and freight transport users. GRUBER Logistics is also a partner of ALICE (Alliance for Logistic Innovation and Collaboration in Europe) Alliance for Logistic Innovation and Collaboration in Europe.

What in ZEFES?

GRUBER Logistics will run a test for a 6-month-period using the Scania FCEV across the Brenner complying temperature-controlled goods (payload 20 tons) to evaluate the technical and practical performance of the powertrains, vehicles, charging infrastructure and tools, to analyze the applicability of the vehicles for broader uptake and finally to assess the impact of the project on logistics and society.
